Brooklyn and Elli

It is so amazing to see a family grow.  I starting photographing this family with a session of Elli, then a maternity session of Brooklyn in moms tummy, Brooklyn at 3 days old (my favorite age!), a six month session of Brooklyn and Elli, and now a 1 year session of Brooklyn.  I can't believe how much they change.

Too Cute

Today I got to photograph Ian's 1 year session.  I haven't seen him since....well, he was still in mommy's tummy last time I photographed him!

 

Senior models needed!

  We need Class of 2011 seniors to help us with our marketing campaign.  These seniors will be all over our website, our blog, our facebook page, and even in our front windows!  For every referral card that gets returned to us (with a booked session) you will get a $25 credit at our studio, if all 16 of your cards get back to us with booked sessions you will get a custom designed hard cover book filled with your images, a $600 value!!  Models also get to split their sessions up into 3 smaller sessions, but I'm sure we'll spend at least an hour with you at each session.  All we ask in return is that you commit to a minimum purchase of $450, with all the great image we will create that's a no-brainer!

   I’ve always said that I love what I do so much I’d do it for free if I could afford to!  Well........
January is such a slow time around the studio, that I get bored. So to help keep me from being too bored I decided to do just that...make portraits for free!!  So for the month of January
I will make your portrait for FREE.... NO SESSION FEE!!!! You get a full 30 minute custom session
If you don’t want to order anything...that’s OK! Or if you do...that’s OK too.  Either way I get to do what I love which is photograph people. So.... call today and schedule an appointment..... it’ll be fun!!

Finishing up last year

With the holidays, the weather, and building the courage to put my dog to sleep I have really neglected my blog!  I can't remember what all I've shot since the last updates so I'll just put up a few that I remember.  I also have a big maternity project that I am working on to really push my creativity, so hopefully I can get some of those posted as I create them.

 

Dan and Emma

Shonna brought in the kids for some nice images of her and them together.  I though "what a great time to get creative".  I had so much fun with these 3, my favorites are with them being serious, but there are some great smiling ones too!

Chace and Kyra

Kristi and Evan brought their kids back this year.  I had forgotten that Kyra cried for all but two minutes, but after 5 minutes this time she and I were best friends.  Chace on the other hand....he didn't think I was too funny.

Parker-1 year

This is Parkers 4 visit to our studio, and the funnest so far!  I've done a few "trash the cake" sessions before, but I've never had anyone pee on their cupcake....and then try to eat it.  Aside from the crying about not wanting to see me we had some good laughs and some great images.

Brian and Nikki

Saturday was the last wedding of the year for us, and it couldn't have been a better wedding to end on.  I thought since we had plenty of extra time with the couple I would do my best to light each image the way it needed to be lit, not just the quickest, and I think I will need another assistant next year to help haul all of our light around.

...did I mention that we had alot of time with the couple...

 

Leah and Caden

This morning Leah and her brother Caden were in for his 2 week pictures and Leah's 2 year pictures.  It was a nice change of pace to have a 2 year old that seemed to like me!!!  Maybe the curse is broken.
